Bathurst 2012 Moments (Video)

It was an amazing race as expected with the 2012 Bathurst 1000. I wont go into specific details, as most of you either watched the race or are waiting to watch it. I would like to share with you some of the amazing moments that made the race exciting.
The Nissan GTR pictured above is the 2012 V8 Supercars official pace car. What a bad ass choice of vehicles, especially knowing the potential they have for performing well on any race course. That GTR is definitely a Club Dirty Approved contender.

Secondly, Craig Lowndes in his commemorative paint scheme looked great, paying tribute to the late Peter Brock (9-Time Bathurst winner and iconic Australian automotive legend). There were multiple other commemorative paint schemes that looked great as well, I just have a soft spot for Lowndes car.

Finally, an extremely close call that put everyone on the edge of their seats. Blow is a video of Will Davison going 290 km/h (Roughly 180 mph) backwards after a catastrophic brake failure at the fastest section of the track. I most surely would have crapped myself in that situation, so kudos to Will Davison for keeping it clean.

Let me know if you would like more information about anything V8 Supercar related here on Club Dirty Auto.
